I’m back again to break down some more of my personal picks for items at Sephora that are 100% worth their (sometimes lofty) price tags. This time, I am going to list six of my personal haircare faves.
Like many women, my hair is my absolute pride and joy. I spend so much time and money on it, and I am so careful about what products I am using in order to make it healthy, silky, and shiny. And beyond simple aesthetics, choosing the right products can make a huge difference in how manageable your hair is and how easy to style it is. So go ahead and take a look at my six picks for Sephora hair products that are worth the price!

1. Moroccan Oil Hair Treatment

I consider this oil to be the elixer of life for my hair. Just like my skin, my hair gets dried out really easily–especially when I am using a lot of heat to style it. I have been trying to use less heat in 2020 (and quarantine has made this pretty easy), but I still love to add a little bit to the ends of my hair when it is still damp.
The bottle is small and the price may seem a little bit daunting, BUT you only need a teensy-weensy little bit! I have wavy hair that is coarse and thick that gets poofy and unmanageable in the summer and dry and lifeless in the winter. I have found that using Moroccan Oil really helps keep my hair texture consistent throughout the year and just makes it look so shiny and healthy! What’s even better is that I have gotten so many comments about how soft and shiny my hair looks, and I owe it all to this product! This is a Sephora hair product that is completely worth every penny!
2. Living Proof Perfect Hair Day (PhD) Dry Shampoo

Another unfortunate (or–in my opinion–fortunate) outcome of quarantine life in 2020 is that I have reeeally cut back on how many times I wash my hair in a week. I used to wash my hair every other day. Now, it’s more like once or twice a week. However. I find that once I hit day 3 after a wash, my hair really starts to look a little rough. That’s where dry shampoo comes in.
I am picky about shampoos and conditioners; dry shampoo is no exception. I have actually tried Living Proof’s shampoo and conditioner and did not think that they were worth the money. I like shampoos that create a good lather, and this brand’s shampoos just do not do that.
With dry shampoos, I don’t need a lather. I need it to be relatively scentless and high quality so that it does not leave behind any residue in my hair. And I have to say that this one does all of that! My hair smells fresh and clean without being too perfumey, and I don’t get any residue! If you are looking to splurge a bit on a safe, reliable dry shampoo to extend your time between hair washes, this one is a fantastic buy!
A friendly reminder that you only need a little bit, so be careful with how much you spray onto your hair! Too much and it will look like intense dandruff!
3. Drybar Triple Sec 3-In-1 Finishing Spray

Here is another dry shampoo/texturizing spray because I have a problem.
I just don’t like to wash my hair that often, okay?? But seriously, I LOVE this spray. It can be used to add a bit of texture to your hair–be it curly or straight hair. It can also be used as a dry shampoo to refresh your hair if it’s a little bit dirty!
I love a product that is multi-purpose; it really makes me feel like I am getting my money’s worth! And this particular spray smells AMAZING! If you haven’t smelled it, I encourage you to at least do that much! I get compliments on how good I smell all the time; people usually assume that it’s my perfume, but it’s actually my hair spray! I love clean, fresh scents that aren’t too overpowering, and this one is absolutely perfect. I have bought so many cans of this, and I will never stop!
4. Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Hair Mask

As I mentioned before, my hair gets really dried out in the winter time. I admit that I don’t get my hair cut that often (maybe once or twice a year), so I can usually tell that I need a trim when my ends start to get very straw-like in texture. However, I find that I can go much longer between haircuts because I use a hair mask frequently.
This one by Briogeo is my favorite! I actually saw that they have an avocado kiwi mask as well which I would love to test, but for now, this is still my top-tier hair mask! I get way less split ends when I use this conditioning treatment consistently, and for someone who lives in a dry climate, that is essential!
This mask is cruelty-free and free of sulfates which is what made me want to try it out in the first place. Now, more than a year later, my hair is bouncy and healthy and I am perfectly happy to continue repurchasing this mask!
5. dpHUE Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse

In addition to getting split ends fairly easily, another unfortunate outcome of living in a dry climate is that I get a dry, itchy scalp pretty easily–especially in the winter. One easy remedy to drandruff and itchy scalps that I read about frequently is using apple cider vinegar in the shower, but I was always so hesitant to use straight apple cider vinegar on my hair! Not only does the smell activate my gag reflexes like nothing else can, but I was just so worried that it was going to leave my hair feeling stripped and my scalp no less itchy than before.
So then I tried this product which is specifically designed to be used on your hair (unlike ACV), and my world changed. I always felt so self-conscious of what was happening on my scalp. Was my hair unknowingly flaky? Could anyone else see it? Thank goodness I’m so tall!
I no longer need to worry about any of that! I just apply this to my head after I use shampoo, and gently massage it in for a minute or two, wash it out, and voila! You can actually replace your shampoo with this product, but I prefer to just add it in between shampoo and conditioner. Make sure not to apply too much and rinse well after use! Your scalp will thank you!
6. Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector

Here it is: the highly coveted Olaplex Hair Perfector. This product is hailed as a true hair holy grail by so many, and I can honestly say that it lives up to the hype! This is a hair repair treatment that is similar to a hair mask in that you really only need to use it 2-3 times per week to see results. And results you will most definitely see!
I can’t speak to anyone with curly hair, but for my hair that is a mixture of straight and wavy (depending on the time of year), my hair always feels so ridiculously soft after I use this treatment! I get that fresh-from-a-salon feel without actually paying a professional to freshen up my hair. It keeps my hair texture consistent and manageable year-round, and really saves me from having any poorly-timed bad hair days! So if you are someone with dry, damaged hair, give this product a try!
What is your go-to holy grail hair product? Did any of these Sephora hair products make your top lists? Are there any that you’re dying to try now? Let me know!
